Overview
What it is and how it fits the system.
The Xtralis F-PC-6 is a standard-variant VESDA/FAAST Aspirating Smoke Detection (ASD) sampling hole clip with a pre-engineered 6.0mm (15/64 inch) colour-coded sampling hole, supplied ready-to-fit as a single piece that clicks over a drilled sampling hole. Its blue colour coding identifies the hole size at a glance. Moulded in RAL9005 PC/ABS, it fits tube outer diameters of 25mm to 27mm, measures 55 x 30.5mm and weighs 11g.
Technical overview
F-PC-6 is the blue-coded Standard clip of the Honeywell FAAST Sampling Hole Identification System, identifying a pre-engineered 6.0mm (15/64 inch) sampling hole on VESDA aspirating smoke detection (ASD) pipework from Xtralis.
Blue is this clip's assigned main colour, and the scheme it belongs to follows the IEC 60062 standard resistor code, giving installers visual confirmation that each drilled point on the network carries the intended hole size.
Site work stays light: a 10mm (27/64") bit creates the sampling holes, and the clip is placed over its hole and pressed until a click secures it. Moulded in RAL9005 PC/ABS to suit tube of 25 mm to 27 mm outer diameter, the clip has one application restriction worth noting - running above 45°C ambient risks up to 5% leakage at the clip seal.
