The Honeywell F-PC-4 is a standard-variant ASD (Aspirating Smoke Detection) sampling point hole CLIP with a pre-engineered 4.0mm (5/32 inch) sampling hole, part of Honeywell's CLIP Hole Identification System. Moulded in RAL9005 PC/ABS with a variable TPE rubber, it fits tube outer diameters of 25mm to 27mm. It measures 55 x 30.5mm and weighs 11g.
Technical overview
F-PC-4 marks a 4.0mm (5/32 inch) sampling hole on Honeywell aspirating smoke detection (ASD) pipework, a Standard-variant clip within the VESDA Sampling Hole Clip / Honeywell CLIP Hole Identification System.
Once each sampling position has been drilled out with a 10mm (27/64") bit, the clip clicks into a firm, non-slip hold with no part assembly or tools required, gripping tube of 25 mm to 27 mm outer diameter. Physical installation detail is given in the installation instructions, which should be followed to ensure full functionality.
Colour coding across the system follows the IEC 60062 standard resistor code, letting an engineer confirm the 4.0mm size at a glance on the finished network. The moulding pairs a RAL9005 PC/ABS body with a variable-material TPE rubber, and up to 5% sealing leakage at the clip can be expected if the ambient runs above 45°C.
