This non-addressable conventional beacon is a red-body visual alarm device with a white flash and clear lens, approved to EN54-23 for W and C class coverage. It flashes at 0.5Hz and synchronises automatically on power up, exceeding the EN54-23 standard, and is supplied with a low-profile base. The unit operates on 12 to 29VDC, drawing 26mA at 29VDC.
Technical overview
CWST-RW-S5 is a Conventional Audio Visual Device in the VAD sub-range, featuring a red body with clear lens and white flash. It is EN54-23 W and C class approved for wall mounting applications.
Operating on 12 to 29 VDC, it draws an average current of 26mA at 29VDC and flashes at 0.5 Hz with automatic synchronisation on power up that exceeds the EN54-23 standard. The device functions in temperatures from -25°C to 70°C and up to 93% ±3% non-condensing relative humidity.
With an IP21C rating when used with its low profile base, it measures 100mm x 72mm (diameter x depth). The lens is constructed from polycarbonate and the body from PC/ABS, supporting cable terminals from 0.5 to 2.5mm². It provides a coverage volume of 194m³ at an installation height of 2.4m for W Class wall mounting.
