This all-white sounder strobe combines a white flash and clear lens with a 107dB(A) at 1m sounder, approved to EN54-3 and EN54-23 for W and C class coverage. W class applies to wall mount and C class to ceiling mount applications, and the unit ships with a low-profile base. It operates on 12 to 29VDC, drawing an average 49mA at 29VDC in W class.
Technical overview
CWSS-WW-S5 combines a conventional sounder with a white-flash visual alarm behind a clear lens on a white body - the all-white variant in the Conventional Audio Visual Devices range, EN54-Pt.3 and Pt.23 W and C class approved for wall-mount (W class) and ceiling-mount (C class) duty. On its white low-profile base the device carries an IP21C rating; a deep base raises this to IP65, sealed with a PS188 O-ring and PS189 gasket.
The device runs from 12 to 29VDC; typical current draw averages 49 mA (measured at 29 V DC, W class, Tone 7), while the loudest of its 32 tones - among them a bell tone - delivers 107 dB(A) at one metre on Tone 23, with high or medium volume settings. Once the supply is energised, the flash pulses at 0.5 Hz and falls into step with neighbouring devices.
Built in flame-retardant PC/ABS, the sounder strobe operates from -25°C to 70°C at up to 93% ±3% non-condensing humidity and terminates cable of 0.5-2.5mm². Compatible accessories cover the SC076 earth strap and the CSW white low-profile base, a match for the base on which this device sits.
