BEAMHKR Reflector Heater for Beam Smoke Detectors

Function
BEAMHKR allows the reflector to operate in environments prone to the formation of condensation. Condensation forming on the reflector may result in trouble or false alarm conditions. BEAMHKR will lessen the likelihood of condensation by maintaining the reflector at temperature

Overview

What it is and how it fits the system.

The BEAMHKR is a reflector heater accessory that allows the reflector of a reflected (projected) beam smoke detector to operate in environments prone to condensation. By maintaining the reflector at temperature, it lessens the likelihood of condensation forming on the reflector surface.

Technical overview

BEAMHKR is a heater kit designed for beam reflectors in environments prone to condensation. It allows the reflector to operate reliably by maintaining its temperature, reducing the likelihood of condensation that could cause trouble or false alarm conditions. The kit requires a 24V supply for operation and is intended for use with the reflector of a reflected beam smoke detector.

Physical connection and installation details are provided in the installation manual, with terminal-by-terminal wiring considerations outside the scope of this overview. BEAMHKR is part of the Beam Detection OSID Range within the Beam Detection sub-range. It functions to lessen the likelihood of condensation forming on the reflector by maintaining it at an operational temperature, thereby supporting reliable detector performance in challenging environmental conditions.
