Loop power available is 500 mA across two loops in ZXa and 1250mA across five loops in ZXe.

Against that, the Morley-IAS Loop Driver Card asks 20mA (excluding loop devices) for itself and offers 440mA per loop of drive. Field cable terminates in a removable block on motherboard screw terminals, sized up to 2.5 mm 2 (13 AWG), and may be run class A or class B with shielded, twisted wire.

795-072 is the Morley-IAS Loop Driver Card. The maximum continuous loop drive current it supplies is 440mA per loop, and the card's own power consumption is 20mA (excluding loop devices).

The loop circuit is limited to a resistance of 40 Ohm max. and a capacitance of 0.5 µ F max. Two diagnostic LEDs on the card show the driven end of the loop.

Loop wiring is class A or class B with shielded, twisted wire, landing on screw terminals on the motherboard that take a removable block for a maximum cable cross sectional area of 2.5 mm 2 (13 AWG).

A maximum of 500 mA is available for two loops in ZXa, and a maximum of 1250mA is available for five loops in ZXe.
