The Morley-IAS DXc4 is a 1, 2 and 4 loop, networkable, multi-protocol analogue addressable fire alarm control panel from the DX Connexion range. It operates from 230 V AC (±15 %) with a 24 V DC 4 A PSU, 500 mA multi-protocol loop drivers and a +24 V DC 250 mA fused auxiliary output. Two monitored 1 A sounder circuits, single-pole-changeover fire and fault relays and two onboard monitored inputs provide scalable control for larger sites.
Technical overview
714-001-241 designates the Morley DXc4, the four-loop analogue addressable fire alarm control panel in the networkable, multi-protocol DX Connexion family. Set-up follows a five-key-press routine, configurations move over USB upload and download, and there is the option to upload a company logo; seven-day timers, event logging, onboard diagnostics and a class change function round out the software set alongside PC configuration software.
False alarm management works through coincidence and verification detection, with sensitivity adjustment — between day and night, for example. Loop devices follow one protocol per panel, chosen from Apollo (Xplorer, XP95 and Discovery), Hochiki (ESP) and System Sensor, and each of the four loops is driven at up to 500 mA by its multi-protocol loop driver.
On larger sites, four DXc4 panels can be joined to reach the 16-loop network maximum, with mixed loop sizes equally permitted; the network is true peer-to-peer, fault tolerant and BS5839 part 1 compliant. Field terminations use plug-in connectors, while physical connection and field-wiring detail is left to the installation manual.
Among the recommended accessories are the 795-097 software programming kit, which spans the same System Sensor, Apollo and Hochiki protocols, and the 795-115 flush bezel kit for panels fitted with the extension backbox.
