Morley-IAS Passive Repeater, 80-Char LCD Remote Panel

709-701-001 is the Morley-IAS Passive Repeater, a remote indication unit for Morley-IAS intelligent multi-protocol fire alarm control panels in the ZXSe family. As the indication-only member of the repeater range the unit carries no user controls: an 80-character backlit LCD mirrors event text from the host panel, backed by status LEDs spanning fire, fault and disablement conditions through to power and communications.

Connection to the host runs over the RS485 peripheral data port, the same bus that accepts up to 31 active repeaters, while power comes from a nominal +24 V DC external source across an 18 V to 32 V DC input window, drawn either from the host panel's auxiliary output or from a separate suitable DC feed. The host panel does not monitor the unit itself, though any break in communications is flagged locally on the repeater display.

Where remote control is needed as well as indication, the sibling 709-601-001 Morley-IAS Active Repeater adds Silence, Mute, Reset, Accept, Evacuate and Test controls within the same range. A semi-flush bezel kit is listed for both active and passive repeaters, the 020-835 spare key switch and keys serves the repeater family, and physical wiring and terminal details are set out in the installation manual.
