Description

The VPS-1-360A from Novar GmbH, a Honeywell Company, is a power supply for the VARIODYN ONE voice alarm system. It charges and supervises external batteries for 24 VDC backup. Each battery has a terminal for automatic voltage equalisation between the two batteries connected in series. Internal blade fuses on all current outputs make the supply short-circuit proof, with an LED monitoring each output's status. It has 6 dedicated amplifier power outputs and 4 separate auxiliary outputs for central units or other loads. The unit provides USB digital communication and is EN54-4 certified.

The VPS-1-360A, part number 585052, charges and supervises external batteries to provide 24 VDC backup for voice alarm systems. It occupies 1 unit rack and takes a power input of 230 / 115 V 50 / 60 Hz. The unit measures 43 x 483 x 336 mm and weighs 5,3 Kg.

The 4 auxiliary outputs connect central units or other loads, separately from the amplifier feeds. AUX overcurrent protection is 2 x 8 A, 2 x 4 A, with a maximum total current at the AUX outputs of 15A.

The supply supports a maximum of 2 battery banks at 24V, with a maximum total capacity of 400 / 350 Ah for 230V/115VAC. The maximum charging current is 18 / 15 A and the floating voltage is 27,1 V. The maximum resistance of a single battery circuit is 65 mΩ. A terminal for each battery enables automatic voltage equalisation between the two batteries connected in series.

Internal blade fuses protect all current outputs and make the supply short-circuit proof. Each output has an LED that monitors its status. The unit provides USB digital communication. It is EN54-4 certified, approved to EN 54-16 and conforms to EN 54-4 + A1 + A2.
