Description

Interfacing analogue equipment to a VARIODYN® ONE installation is the job of the UIM. Part 585001 offers 2 Audio Inputs and 2 Audio Outputs on symmetrical and asymmetrical potential-free sockets, together with 48 programmable inputs/outputs, and reaches the INC through a DAL (Digital Audio Link) port.

Eight of the control contacts can have short-circuit and interruption monitoring switched on, and the contacts themselves may be used to interface with external devices or systems, analog call stations (DIGIM) and fire alarm systems among them.

585001 is the Universal Interface Module, model UIM, of the VARIODYN® ONE PAVA system, bringing two analog audio inputs, two analog audio outputs and 48 control contacts into the network. It connects to the VARIODYN® ONE controller INC-D over the DAL bus, and up to 8 UIMs can connect per INC-D controller.

The 48 programmable inputs/outputs can serve as inputs or outputs and interface with external devices or systems such as analog call stations (DIGIM) or fire alarm systems; for eight control contacts, short-circuit and interruption monitoring can be activated. Control contact inputs take max. 24 V DC (over DAL-Bus) at 10 k Ω input resistance. Each output contact carries 24 V DC external voltage at a load current of max. 50 mA per output, short-circuit proof against + 24 V.

Physically it is a metal unit in grey, similar to RAL 7016 approx., weighing 7.22 kg in a 483 x 44 x 345 mm (1 HU) chassis. Power consumption stays < 150 mA @ 24 V DC, ambient temperature -5 °C … +55 °C, storage -10 °C … +60 °C and 15 % … 90 % relative humidity (non-condensing).
