583504.RE is the Fireman’s Emergency Microphone - Single Button / All Call, a fully digital fireman’s emergency call station built around a fist grip microphone and a built-in loudspeaker in one integrated housing. The loudspeaker serves monitoring and previewing duties as well as intercom functions.

Operation centres on a single, freely programmable button that can be individually labelled, backed by 2 integrated and 1 freely programmable LED display elements, among them a combined operation and fault display. Continuous acoustic monitoring runs on both the voice coil and the microphone capsule.

Control signals travel digitally, as do all audio signals to and from the call station, and the supply voltage arrives directly from the DAL bus. The station joins the PA/VA system in star-shaped topology through fire rated CAT 5STP cable and an RJ45 socket at up to 300 metres distance. A fully redundant back up connection lets the station work with 2 Digital Output Modules at the same time, holding a back up path open in the event of a single cable or DOM failure. It forms part of the D1 voice alarm and public address system.
