The L-VBM20A/EN is a 20 W (10 W x 2) bidirectional voice-alarm sound projector that broadcasts evacuation messages with low distortion and high intelligibility in two opposing directions. Suited to indoor, outdoor, dry or wet applications, it delivers a broad 150 Hz to 20 kHz response and 87 dB SPL at 1 W / 1 m, with a 30 W maximum rating. Operating at 100 V / 70 V with selectable power taps, it provides efficient dual-direction coverage along corridors and walkways.
Technical overview
582475 is a 20 watt bidirectional sound projector designed for voice alarm and public address systems. It features a dual 5.25-inch speaker configuration housed in an aluminium enclosure with an IP 65 rating, suitable for ceiling or wall mounting in demanding environments.
The unit operates on 100 V or 70 V line systems with power tapping options of 20 W, 10 W, 15 W and 2.5 W, delivering a rated output of 20 W (10 W x 2) and a maximum power handling of 30 W. It provides a sound pressure level of 87 dB at 1 W/1 m and at 20 W/4 m, measured over the 100 Hz to 10 kHz band, and reproduces a frequency range of 150 Hz to 20 kHz.
Constructed with a fire-resistant six-core cable already attached to the ceramic connector, the colour-coded wiring corresponds to transformer taps for straightforward installation. The projector weighs 3.23 kg, measures 140 mm in diameter by 195 mm in height, and is finished in white (RAL 9003). It complies with EN 54-24 standard and is rated for operation between -25°C and +55°C.
