Technical overview
580248.11 is a four-channel power amplifier designed for the VARIODYN D1 voice alarm system within the D1 Voice Rack range. It delivers four independent 300 W outputs at 100 V, using Class D technology with galvanic isolation for direct speaker line connection. The unit supports emergency operation via a 24 V DC backup supply and features one channel capable of backing up the others, enhancing system resilience.
It operates on a nominal 230 V AC supply at 50–60 Hz with tolerance of +10% / -5%, and functions in ambient temperatures from -5 °C to 55 °C with humidity up to 93%. Harmonic distortion remains below 0.02% at nominal level, and channel separation exceeds 92 dB. Built-in protection guards against thermal overload, DC and subsonic signals, short circuits, open outputs and HF interference.
The amplifier measures 484 mm wide, 88 mm high and 400 mm deep (2HU, 19" rack format), weighs approximately 13.8 kg, and is finished in grey similar to RAL 7016. Status is monitored via individual LEDs for CLIP, PROTECT, SIGNAL, POWER, LINE and 24 V DC. It includes symmetric inputs, inrush current limitation and soft start, and is approved as part of the EN 54-16 standard for voice alarm systems.
