Addressable Detection

Morley 52051RE-26 A1R Heat + Rate-of-Rise Sensor 58C

Overview

What it is and how it fits the system.

The Morley 52051RE-26 is a Type A1R heat sensor in a white housing, combining a 58 degrees C fixed-temperature point with rate-of-rise detection. The dual approach lets it catch both rapidly rising and slowly developing heat conditions. It mounts on the B501AP base.

Technical overview

52051RE-26 is a heat sensor from the Addressable Detection range, specifically designed as a detector. It operates as a Type A1R device with a response rating of 58°C and Rate of Rise, using rate of rise temperature analogue addressable sensing technology that employs low mass thermistors and microprocessor technology for fast response. The sensor communicates via the System Sensor Protocol Analogue Addressable Field Devices and requires the B501AP base for installation.

It functions within an operating voltage range of 15 to 32Vdc, with a maximum standby current of 200µA at 24Vdc (no communications) or 300µA at 24Vdc when the LED blink is enabled once every 5 seconds. The LED current draw is 3.5mA at 24Vdc. Constructed from PC/ABS material in a white finish, the device weighs 88g including the base and measures 61mm in height and 102mm in diameter when installed in the B501AP base. It is rated for use in temperatures from -30°C to +70°C and relative humidity levels of 10 to 93% non-condensing, with a maximum wire gauge of 2.5mm² for terminals.
