Addressable Detection
Morley 52051E-26 A1R Heat Sensor 58C + Rate of Rise
Overview
What it is and how it fits the system.
The Morley 52051E-26 is a Type A1R heat sensor in a white housing, combining a 58 degrees C fixed-temperature threshold with rate-of-rise detection. Pairing fixed and rate-of-rise sensing helps it respond to both fast-developing and slow-building heat. It mounts on the B501AP base.
Technical overview
52051E-26 is a fixed temperature analogue addressable heat sensor from the Addressable Detection range, designed as a detector for fire alarm systems. It employs low mass thermistors and microprocessor technology to provide fast response at a fixed temperature rating of 58°C, classified as Class A1R. The sensor is housed in a white PC/ABS construction and requires the B501AP base for installation.
Operating within a voltage range of 15 to 32Vdc, the device draws a maximum standby current of 200µA at 24Vdc without communications, increasing to 300µA when the LED blink is enabled once every five seconds. The LED current is 3.5mA at 24Vdc. It functions reliably in ambient temperatures from -30°C to +70°C and relative humidity levels between 10% and 93% non-condensing.
When installed in the B501AP base, the unit has a height of 61mm and a diameter of 102mm, with a total weight of 88g including the base. Terminals accept a maximum wire gauge of 2.5mm². The sensor communicates via the System Sensor Protocol for analogue addressable field devices, helping to ensure compatibility with compatible addressable fire detection systems.
