Description

The Version 03 board is the MA-2000 main board with its display, and 5000.00.012 is the number it answers to as a spare part.

The replacement and the recommissioning that follows may be carried out by no one but a qualified electrician. Every supply into the panel is removed before installation work begins, because of the electrical shock hazard, and the 2 screws are taken out so the panel door opens. After 1 minute the panel can be treated as no longer energised. Both ends of the battery cable come away, at the batteries and at the board, before the main power supply connector and the battery probe are both taken off the board.

Read the full technical description

Precautions against electrostatic discharge are necessary while any electronic assembly is handled, and a fuse installed at the factory is never bridged, repaired or exchanged for a different type.

Held under 5000.00.012, the Main board + LCD, Version 03 is the LCD-carrying main board that stands as a spare part for the MA-2000 control panel in a fire alarm system. Version 03 is the designation attached to this part number.

Only a qualified electrician may replace this spare part and recommission the equipment afterwards. Because of the electrical shock hazard, all power is taken off the panel before any installation work is undertaken, and a fuse fitted at the factory is never bridged, repaired or exchanged for a type other than the one specified. Electrostatic discharge precautions must be taken whenever an electronic assembly is handled. Before the board is exchanged, the control panel is disconnected completely from the mains voltage and the fuse for main power is switched off. The PE conductor must be connected to the corresponding terminal at the mains supply, and the FE terminal of the panel cabinet connects to the protective earthing rail (PE rail) of the power distributor panel from which the fire alarm system will be powered.

Every voltage and signal line is held by suitable fastening material, plastic cable fasteners for instance, so that nothing can come loose or be moved, and care is taken that the power supply line cannot touch the SELV signal lines when moved. When recommissioning is finished, the system is put through a complete function test.
