The Morley-IAS Horizon HRZ4E is a 4-zone conventional fire alarm control panel supplied complete with the 020-713 fire & fault relay. It supports 2, 4 or 8 detection circuits drawing 2mA each (typically more than 20 detectors per circuit), with two monitored sounder outputs at 0.5A per circuit and a 0.5A auxiliary output at 18.5 to 28.5Vdc. Powered from 230Vac with an internal supply delivering up to 1.8A, it handles a maximum 1A alarm load for mid-sized conventional systems.
Technical overview
002-492-242 identifies the Morley-IAS Horizon HRZ4E, a four-zone conventional fire alarm control panel from the Horizon range, designed to comply with EN54 part 2 and part 4. Within a platform built in 2, 4 or 8 detection circuit versions, this order code is the four-zone point: each detection circuit draws 2 mA and typically carries more than 20 detectors.
Alarm distribution runs through two monitored sounder outputs at 0.5 A per circuit, backed by an auxiliary DC output and, via the optional relay card, a fire relay with changeover contacts. Approved detector choices span Apollo Series 60 (wide voltage), Series 65 and Orbis alongside System Sensor ECO1000 and Series 300. For commissioning and false alarm management the panel offers a walk test facility, coincidence detection and programmable delays that allow alarm verification, with multilingual text inserts and 22 configurable inputs assignable to class change, alert, evacuate and reset functions.
Option hardware extends the base panel: the 020-713 Horizon relay kit adds fire and fault relays, the 020-772 four-way sounder output card and 020-747 eight-way input/output card grow the output count, and end-of-line arrangements are covered by the 020-417 active end-of-line kit or the 020-743 capacitor kit for detectors that do not suit capacitive EOL monitoring.
